My pillow holds me softly caressing my head.
My legs are made of heavy stone, I haven't got the torque,
The torque to move them but its time to get to work.

I awake from my slumber, sweat rolls down my skin,
The night has ended and the long day can begin
My mind is jumping phrases, my body rolls cross the floor,
And before my eyes are open, I am out the door.

The sun cannot reach me, my eyes are closed
The blue skies cannot touch me my eyes are closed
You cannot see me when my eyes are closed
I see it all so clearly when my eyes are closed.
Eyes wide closed.

My car moves faster leaving me behind
And it feels like treading water when I'm racing time.
The sun just travels over, I start to see it frown
Sayin' "how does it feel chacin' wasted days as their goin' down"

Your scoldings will not teach my eyes are closed
